Biography
In both my research and teaching I focus primarily on Gender and Queer Studies and the ways that adaptations and actualisations of older texts are used to reexamine, reinforce, question and deconstruct contemporary notions of gender, queerness, bodies and patriarchy. I graduated from Goethe University Frankfurt in 2024 where I gained both a master’s degree in Anglophone Literatures, Cultures and Media and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and English Studies (2022). During my master’s degree I focussed specifically on the study of manliness and masculinities in actualisations and adaptations of classics, a topic that I have broadened to Gender Studies as a whole in my PhD project.
