Welcome!

Here at the Chair of American Studies: Literary Studies we strongly focus on literary studies in our research and teaching. More specifically, we study North American literature by employing a culturally and media-specific approach that includes literary theory and literary history. Our focus of research is linked to the faculty´s focus on Literaturen – Wissenskulturen – Transferprozesse.
